Yes, There Is Good Food on the Boardwalk
We all love visiting the colorful, cacophonous scene at Venice Beach every now and then, but eating there is like eating at a carnival—most choices seem to be pricey, greasy, and nowhere near the vicinity of healthy. Enter Bondi BBQ.
This little gem has been around for a few years but is a bit of a local secret. I’ve had just about everything on the menu and can make several hearty recommendations:
– I love all of the sandwiches, served on soft rolls that soak up the bbq sauce perfectly.
– If you’re dieting, the turkey burger or chicken breast are great choices.
– If you want to do something authentically Australian, try the meat pie. It’s a delicious Aussie staple.
– Try a side of the grilled green beans. I was surprised how delicious they made a green vegetable taste!
The service is friendly and they even deliver, but this bbq is best enjoyed with cold iced tea and a blanket on the beach. Bondi is located on Windward Avenue, right under the famous Venice sign.
