Nick Gandy is the director of communications for the Florida Sports Foundation, the official sports promotion and development organization for the state of Florida. One of his duties is to assist in the promotion of Florida spring training baseball, which brings more than $750 million in economic impact to the state each year. Gandy operates Florida Grapefruit League and distributes the annual complimentary Florida Spring Training Guide. He has been attending spring training games in Florida since the late 1970s when his grandparents lived in the Tampa Bay area and takes a spring training trip each year with his family.
