Marisa Mostek has been enchanted by travel all of her life. The thrill of experiencing new places led her all over Europe and acquainted her with her ancestral roots in the Czech Republic and Spain. She speaks Spanish, French, and conversational Russian. Her love of language and facility for learning them stem from her paternal grandfather, who speaks nine languages with perfect fluency.

Her passion for travel and writing catapulted Marisa into her graduate journalism studies, which she is now actively pursuing at UCLA. Marisa plays an acoustic Martin guitar and enjoys film screenings and exploring California. One of her favorite aspects of Los Angeles living is the seemingly endless vegan dining possibilities.
