Leah Swofford is Jetset Extra's managing editor. An Orange County, California, native, Leah was able to travel around the country as a competitive gymnast and continued to discover new destinations as a member of her college team. Four years in the journalism program at San Jose State University and a month-long summer internship in Urbino, Italy, pretty much solidified the fact that Leah's ideal job must include some combination of writing, editing, and traveling.

Leah loves to share stories about the amazing places she's been, from the tiny Caribbean island of Nevis to the medieval towns in Italy. She has gone paddle boarding in the Sea of Cortez, been snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, and done yoga in Thailand. Her favorite cities tend to be the ones that offer delicious, locally made craft beer or red wine. She's always ready for the next adventure—preferably with her fun-loving husband—and finds way too much joy in planning out itineraries and packing lists.
