Doug Hansen lives in Carlsbad, California, and has lived and worked in or traveled to 75 countries. Has has been doing photography since 1968, with an emphasis on his passion for nature and travel. He has an international MBA from Thunderbird and a degree in accounting and has been a financial advisor for more than 10 years. Three times in his life he has set off with a backpack and traveled for more than a year with an open agenda. Those special travel experiences gave him a tremendous sense of joy, peace, and aliveness, so he decided to create a travel site to help others find that same level of exhilaration about life.
