Ten Reasons Why Kids Love the Four Seasons Toronto

During the holiday season we took our kids on a cross-country train ride, and one of our stops was Toronto, Ontario, Canada. And, just as in the beginning of our trip in Vancouver, we stayed at the Four Seasons. This hotel is incredible. It’s the landmark hotel for Four Seasons, which means all the best things Four Seasons has to offer are within the walls of this beautiful space.
Let’s get started with the 10 things my kids loved:
1. The pool
No kid vacation is complete without testing out the hotel pool. Mine did multiple times and thoroughly loved it each time. There is a main pool for swimming and playing, a wading pool for lounging or younger/smaller kids, and a spa with warmer water and bubbles.
2. The bathtub in their room
Neither of my daughters are bath takers, but this was a tub they could not resist. It was a stand-alone round tub that made it perfect for a bubble bath.
3. The artwork
Believe it or not, on multiple occasions my kids commented on the different art installations in the hotel. Mostly they liked the rock ’n’ roll-themed images in Café Boulud. I was surprised to hear them naming off the iconic musicians that were around long before they were.
4. Freedom
My kids like to explore without us. I didn’t worry once while they walked around discovering the different areas of the hotel.
5. Making friends
My kids have the ability to make friends wherever they go. It’s always a plus for them when visiting a hotel to find one person that remembers them or makes conversation with them during their stay. The server we had on our first morning at the hotel was just that person. He was very sweet and not only took great care of us as a family but also offered lots of insight to the city and gave us ideas for the day.
6. The bathrobes and stuffed beaver
In the girls’ room, on their bed, were a kid-sized bathrobe and a stuffed Four Seasons beaver for Olivia. She couldn’t have felt more special. This little touch made her feel so welcomed that she wrote a note to the Four Seasons Toronto telling them how happy she was she got to be in their hotel.
7. Movie night
Movie night in our room was great. We had been out all day and were tired. We had popcorn and M&Ms with other snacks and beverages on the table to enjoy while we cuddled on the couch and watched our movie. It was the perfect ending to a great day and so much like being at home.
8. Family time in our suite
We had a Yorkville Suite with an adjoining room for the kids. The dining room area was great for a family meal where we could talk about our day and enjoy the great food prepared for us by the hotel room service.
9. The food
My kids are foodies. There is little they won’t eat, so the offerings from Café Boulud were ideal. The duck confit hash and lemon ricotta pancakes were winners for sure.
10. Family time
Though this is a high-end, beautiful hotel, no one felt as though our family wasn’t welcomed with open arms. We were so comfortable and loved every moment we had together at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto.
