Letter From the Editor: October 2014

Greetings,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you a little bit about Jetset Extra.

I was a late bloomer in the travel industry. I didn’t really start exploring the world until it was my job here at Jetset Extra to do so. In a previous life I was a chef, working for a well-known restaurant brand in Los Angeles. I then became a mom of two incredible kids, and then suddenly I was asked to step in and take over the business of Jetset Extra. I had no idea what I was doing, but I did what I do best: I learned on the fly, and since then I haven’t looked back!

Since 2011, Jetset Extra has undergone some big changes with our brand, how our content is delivered, and what sort of content we provide to our readers. We are now focused on giving you personal experiences about a destination at a glance, hotel offerings, dining options, activities, and the overall vibe so after reading an article you’ll feel informed and, hopefully, inspired to travel there.

Once a month, I travel with my camera equipment to shoot the videos you see on our YouTube channel. Since January, I’ve been to Arizona, Fiji, Italy, Nevis, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Our videos are the cornerstone of Jetset Extra. Every video we publish is shot and edited by our staff, and we are very proud of the video content we provide. We encourage you to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you too can see the world and discover destinations about which you might be curious.
