A heavy trafficked surf spot, surfers have been known to jump straight off the high pier,with board in hand, in the mornings. Sometimes, if you arrive early enough, you can catch a glimpse of one these wicked good surfers. Besides giving you great surf, the pier provides a spectacular view (day and night), of Venice and Malibu. The secret about the pier is that it provides priceless shade when spending an entire day at the beach. Mosey on over underneath for a cool down.

A few steps away is home of the famous Hinano burger. This burger is known as the BEST burger in Venice Beach and is served with a cold glass of beer. Home to the Venice local old salty dogs, this place is casual but rocks pool tables and blues bands.

Best recipe for this Venice Beach day : Wake up early and hopefully catch the jumping surfers, then spend all day at the beach and stroll your salty self into Hinano Café.
