Phoenix Comicon is the signature pop-culture event of the southwest. Fan’s will have the chance to meet their favorite actors, creators, and authors for autographs and photographs. This year’s headlining guest will be William Shatner. There will also be plenty of parties and celebrations in downtown Phoenix for Phoenix Comicon attendees.

Friday, May 25
Start the weekend off right by enjoying lunch from one of Phoenix’s popular food trucks. There’s something for everyone here from hot dogs to vegetarian options.

W Scottsdale Memorial Day Weekend, featuring Manufactured Superstars
Amplify your Memorial Day weekend at W Scottsdale with three days of live music, refreshing summer cocktails, and hot room rates. Kicking off the holiday weekend in style, on Friday night at 9pm, join Kelley James as he performs in the Living Room for Living Room Live. Then, hangout poolside for Saturday’s daytime pool party with hot DJ beats throughout the day. On Sunday, the second-floor WET Deck will transform into a poolside dance party from 12pm to 6pm with DJ/production duo Manufactured Superstars.

Celebrate International Jazz Day at the Musical Instrument Museum with live indoor performances by local jazz bands and piano players. Jazz musicians and exhibits will be highlighted in a educational talk.

Phoenix Caribbean Carnival and Parade
This dazzling parade and festival will feature stilt walkers, steel drum bands, masqueraders and more! A Caribbean Village with vendors and food will be at CityScape Phoenix. Details: Carnival at CityScape Phoenix 1 East Washington and parade route throughout downtown Phoenix. Parade starts at 7am on Saturday in downtown Phoenix, the Caribbean Village is at CityScape Phoenix from 10am – 7pm.
Sunday, May 27
Bark in the Park at Chase Field
Join the D-backs and their canine companions at Chase Field for Bark in the Park presented by Pet Club. Come early to participate in the pre-game Puppy Rally and Puppy Parade.
Details: Bark in the Park at Chase Field 401 E. Jefferson Street, Phoenix. Admission is $18-25 per person and $18-25 per dog. The D-backs will donate $5 from every ticket purchased to the Arizona Animal Welfare League.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Brewers
Root for the home team this holiday weekend while noshing on Cracker Jack and a hot dog. The first 6,000 fans to Chase Field in downtown Phoenix get collapsible dog bowls courtesy of Pet Club.

Monday, May 28
The Pioneer’s Cemetery Associations and the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department present the 29th-annual Memorial Day Observance at the historic downtown Phoenix Cemeteries. Representatives from many of the valley’s historic organizations will be in attendance. Tours of the 1897 Smurthwaite House will be offered, in addition to self-guided tours of the cemeteries.
