Sunset over Mount Warning from Clarkes Beach, Byron Bay, Australia

Byron Bay, a haven for hippies for over 30 years due to it being situated at the Eastern most point of the Australian mainland, is a magical place on the planet, drawing energy from its hinterland and the Pacific Ocean. It has now increased its mass appeal with world travellers with a hippy bent and eco understanding and caters to all with accommodation and restaurants for 2 star to 5 star jetsetters. Camping, backpacking hostels, holiday homes, beachside spas and rainforest hinterland resorts are there to choose from.

Byron offers plenty to do for singles, couples, and families of all ages with beautiful and clean sandy beaches where sitting around afire at night is a perfectly normal way to enjoy the balmy Summer evenings, or enjoy an Australian band at one of the many pubs serving cold beer and fine Australian wines, every band puts Byron Bay on their tour programme, making Byron a great spot to sit back and have culture come to you.

Enjoy Byron’s Summer months from December through to February when thongs, bikinis and sarongs are worn or cozy up for winter throughout June to August. For milder weather choose Spring or Autumn, either way Byron Bay will steal your heart and you’ll be dreaming of returning before you’ve even left!
