Tips for Summer
It’s the time of year when many people embrace the energy of good times, vacations, and new adventures at every turn. We are springing toward summer and all the fun, surf, sand, mountains, and parks take a lot more personal planning than mapping out the trip itself. Here are tips that will make your summer travels go more smoothly:
Plan Music
Set up your collection ahead of time, and add as you move through the summer. Have fun and mix it up by loading your songs into playlists specific to what you want to do. I separate mine into sections for partying, meditating, exercising, dog walking, and having dinner. There are many music applications to choose from on the Internet, but I enjoy loading exactly what I want to hear because it sets the tone and gives me a head start on how I usher in and enjoy my summer.
Plan Books & Journals
These go hand in hand. Though spontaneity is good, if you have plans to take photos, write in a journal, or read some of your favorite authors and magazines, you should prepare them in advance. You’ll have less stress, which will make for happy reading or writing if the mood strikes.
Plan Photos & Videos
Make sure you are charged and camera/video ready throughout the season to capture the moments special to your days. How many times have you had a battery drain or forgot attachments, cables, and other things? Organize your photo/video equipment as you did your books and music to have them within access.
Plan Color & Clothing
Mix up that wardrobe to include soft linen and colors such as emerald, coral, blue, and violet. These colors will lighten the spirit, brighten the mood, and help you embrace positive vibes for the spring and summer.
Plan to Disconnect
Finally, and most importantly, please take the time out each day to disconnect. During your travels this summer be sure to take moments to remove yourself from the very electrical, computerized equipment making it convenient for you. If you spend too much time surrounded by the energy of the Internet you will drain your own batteries and deplete your energy.
These are just a few of the ways to help. Try them out and use what works best for you. I hope my insight here will help you to enjoy the moments that make up your summer. Have a great one, and stay safe!
