What to Do With Your Skin When Traveling
Let’s face it, traveling is rough on skin, and not many of us can afford to bring our esthetician along. Air travel dries it out, the food we eat isn’t the best for us, and depending on the destination, the weather can be damaging.
Any time I fly, I always pack a small bag in my carry-on with the following items; toothpaste, a toothbrush, face wash, deodorant, facial moisturizer, makeup, and a hairbrush. Why? It’s great to step off the plane after a long flight feeling refreshed and awake and put together.
There are a million and one travel products on the market. One came across my desk just recently and I felt the need to talk about it. A company called Skincare by Alana sent the travel pack for me to take a look at. I loved it so much I thought you should know about it.
Skincare by Alana specializes in organic and natural skincare products, and Alana herself personally tests every product she sells. She has put together a great travel pack of what she likes to call “Alana’s Five to Survive for 2012.” In the TSA-friendly zipper pouch she packs in:
- Dermaquest C-lipoic Cleanser – 2 oz. “An antioxidant-rich foaming cleanser which removes dirt and debris from the skin’s surface while preventing free radical damage and collagen deterioration.”
- Epicuren Acidophilus Pro Biotic – 2 oz. “Alana’s favorite moisturizer. Lightweight perfect for humid or warm climates.”
- Epicuren x-treme SPF 45– 2.5 oz. (broken down into packets) “People do not typically like using sunscreen because of its white and greasy properties. This is more of a serum type that gives a slight glow when applied.”
- La Bella Donna co-exist gel – .15 oz. “The co-exist gel contains a dense amount of hylaronic acid, a hydrating and plumping property your skin cells naturally have.”
- Rhonda Allison Cherry Jubilee Mask – .5 oz. “There is SO much good stuff in this awesome little mask: it’s incredibly rich in antioxidants, contains a potent anti-aging value that fights against free radical damage, and aids in building healthy skin tissue.”
I can’t wait to take this pack on my next flight! Oh, and guess what? Alana has offered to do a giveaway with Jetset Extra. In November two lucky winners will receive this travel pack.
