Los Angeles-based travel writer and photographer Ellen Clark has dreamed of traveling for as long as she can remember. She finally got her wish after graduating from college when she spent four months traveling around Europe. That was it; she was hooked. Though she was an art major in college, her first job was, appropriately, in a travel agency. About 20 years ago, after spending a fair amount of years as a graphic artist, Ellen decided to try and turn her passions, travel and photography, into a business. Several writing classes and an advanced course in photography later she began submitting articles to various publications. Fortunately enough were accepted that she was able to get out of the graphics business and become a full-time travel writer and photographer.
Always willing to go anywhere at a moment’s notice, Ellen has traveled to places she’d only dreamed about and has shared her adventures through pictures and stories. She’s won numerous awards, including being twice named Photographer of the Year by the Society of American Travel Writers. Her current markets include Global Traveler Magazine, Travelscope magazine and blog, Creator’s Syndicate, and Away.com, and she is represented by Danita Delimant Stock Photography.
