There are no boundaries for Abella Carroll when it comes to her love for writing. She has published articles that include travel writing, food and wine, romantic and vintage homes, aviation, celebrity profiles, and personal essays for national audiences. Her passion is in experiencing, living, and writing about the aloha spirit in the US and worldwide. As editor-in-chief of AOTA, a non-profit magazine for Pacific Talent Academy of the Arts, she writes with the mindset of native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders―with kindness, humility, compassion for others, and respect for nature’s elements.
When Abella is not writing, she is a professional Polynesian dancer and has performed, competed, or entertained throughout the US West Coast, Las Vegas, Germany, Austria, Maui, O’ahu, Kaua’i, and the Big Island, Hawai’i.
The Los Angeles-based writer most recently worked for The Walt Disney Company as chief editor in Public Affairs at the Disneyland Resort. Previous positions include executive editor for Romantic Homes and Victorian Homes magazines; managing editor for Private Pilot and Custom Planes magazines; managing editor and columnist for WestCoast Magazine; and correspondent for the Herald Tribune.
