The Boston Globe Travel Show, Feb 11-13, 2011
With plenty of snow so far this winter, more than 20,000 people are expected to explore exotic winter escapes at the 2011 Boston Globe Travel Show on February 11-13 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. This major three-day travel event will feature exhibitors showcasing travel destinations around the world, great show-only travel deals, cultural and culinary presentations, trip giveaways and much more.
The 2011 Boston Globe Travel Show will be open to the public from 5:30-8 p.m. on Friday, February 11; from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 12; and from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 13. Tickets for the show are $10 and are available at the show or in advance online. Children 18 and under are admitted free of charge.
More than just a trade show, The Boston Globe Travel Show is a weekend destination. The three-day event features more than 200 travel exhibitors and suppliers, representing every segment of the travel industry and offering detailed information on trips to every region of the world. Celebrated travel writers Arthur and Pauline Frommer will be back at the Boston Globe Travel Show in 2011. An annual favorite, this year the Frommers will be on site to let you know where you should splurge – and where you can save on your next vacation. They’ll be joined by Rudy Maxa, host of the public television series and weekend radio show “Rudy Maxa’s World,” who will talk about the Eight Most Common Mistakes Travelers Make.
