Mastering the Art of Glamping: Eco-Vacations in Nature
Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy a vacation in nature while not sacrificing the creature comforts of civilization? One of the new ways to travel does just that – it’s called glamping, or glamorous camping.
For adventurous travelers on limited budgets, this allows for a fun getaway, often in the heart of nature, but with amenities which sometimes rival a boutique hotel. Many of us enjoy being in the outdoors, breathing in the clean, fresh-air, hiking, but aren’t keen about sleeping in a conventional tent and not showering. With glamping, you can have the best of both worlds.
Most people, including me, sleep better in a bed with clean sheets and comfortable bedding, and appreciate a warm shower. Glamping accommodations come in a variety of types ranging from safari tents, tipis, yurts, trailers, cabins and tree-houses with bathroom facilities.
Don’t let their rustic exterior fool you, because some of them provide beautiful interiors and cozy bedding – in pristine locations where you can experience spectacular natural surroundings. Here are some upscale glamping locations with just the right amount of ambiance, in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
