Insider Favorites: Colette’s Guide to San Diego

I moved to San Diego in 2011 and quickly entered into a career publicizing the city’s growing restaurant scene and tourism industry. The constant sunshine was a far cry from my life in Seattle, and I soon discovered San Diego is a mecca for fans of an active lifestyle. From beach going to hiking—or just throwing on sandals and exploring San Diego’s diverse neighborhoods—locals and visitors consistently embrace an “out and about” way of life here. There’s always something fun going on; new spots at which to socialize are popping up all the time, and don’t get me started on our craft beer scene, which pairs all too well with the city’s laid-back culture. Whether jet setters are in search of outdoor activities, culinary experiences, or California culture, San Diego has it in spades—no jacket needed!
