Guerilla 24 Store Launch Party at Harputs
Pop-up store Guerilla 24, a selvage denim line from Hong Kong recently opened in Union Square. This is the only U.S. store, and since San Francisco is the birthplace of jeans it is a fitting debut. Located at Harputs, this was no ordinary retail opening party. While fashionista’s sipped cocktails, the DJ played upbeat music for the crowd.
There was barely room to walk around and peruse the merchandise with the large attendance. Breakdancers performed some of their signature moves to an enthusiastic crowd. This wasn’t the breakdancing from the 1980s—it was fresh, innovative, and artistic. Dancers wore colorful denim and shirts from the store’s clothing line. Merchandise includes premium denim in colorful designs, embellished footwear and other novelty items.
Food was provided courtesy of the famed Taco Truck, Toyanese. Guests waited in line outside the store to enjoy delicious tacos. Also on hand was Skylier Wear Fashion and Art After School Program for the Youth accepting donations to fund their programs. If you missed the opening party, you can still stop by and see the merchandise.
