Anything you may need to outfit your travel wardrobe can be found in this little gem on Fillmore street. They feature hard-to-find footwear like ergonomically orthopedic “TRIPPEN” shoes, a must for those walking tours, as well as wonderful accessories, umbrellas and separates. The shop, which has been there for 23 years, makes for a very knowledgeable and accommodating staff.

This lovely Australian transplant has filled her exquisite shop with spectacular pieces from Paris, New York and New Zealand. Each design, hand-chosen and exclusive to the store, reflects a look which is not “high fashion or trendy” but simply beautiful and gorgeously constructed. You will not be disenchanted as you enter its doors— your eyes will be drawn to just about everything. Elizabeth Charles has a celebrity following and on first look it is clear exactly why.

Designer Thom Browne, of Brooks Brothers fame, has hit the ball out of the park with this flagship store on Fillmore. Catering to both ladies and gents, everything at Black Fleece is tasteful, emphasizing a modern approach to the conservative look. All will find delight in the beautifully-made suits, dresses, and separates as well as shoes and accessories. “Traditionalist with a twist” is how I would describe this classic and refined shop.
