Downtown ArtWalk/Get a Blow Dry and See My Art

Goes all day and night but its most fun after 5pm.
One of my art advisors, Gina, asked me to hang my work in this “Salon On Main” as it is one of three places she hangs art for artwalk.

She showed it to me a couple of weeks ago and my first reaction was “no way” what? A salon? She told me that many artists want to get in there and that the scene downtown is really growing – that I should take advantage of the opportunity. Since I trust her and I need to get my foot in the door downtown – I decided to give it a go. We hung the work yesterday in the salon and I am really happy with it. How fun is it to get a manicure and see art. Plus – the area is really on fire with artists and its such a different feel than what we are used to seeing downtown. Every place on the street is a gallery, even the fast food place is a gallery. Crazy fun. This is the area you want to check out for Artwalk. Right around Main, 4th and Spring.
