Compassionate Cuisine – Oct. 1st
“Be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
I wanted to alert you to this event happening on World Vegetarian Day. It’s no mistake that it is just a day before Gandhi’s birthday and it just so happens to be my wedding anniversary. And what’s even more synchronistic is that the founder of this event, Tanya Petrovna of Native Foods, catered my vegan wedding. People still rave about our dinner that night. And this is six years later. You really must go and taste all the delectable treats this day has to offer. Fat up for Gandhi!
And let us not forget his wise words…
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” – Mahatma Gandhi

A Celebration of International Vegetarian Day
Friday, October 1st, 7 pm to 11 pm

Join us for our 5th annual Compassionate Cuisine event: a food, art, and music celebration to commemorate International Vegetarian Day.
From Indian and Mediterranean, to country barbequed mock chicken and home style chili, guests can sample from a dazzling array of vegan foods from California’s top veg restaurants and veg food companies, while enjoying organic wines and beer. The event provides a great opportunity to introduce friends and family to vegan foods, while learning about farmed animal protection issues.
