Bubble Sundays Sparkle
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and all my friends have plans, leaving me to find a fun way to spend the day. Then I remembered that a Facebook friend, Élie Ernest, has started a fun new wine event, Bubble Sundays. Never one to miss an opportunity to drink sparkling wine, I signed up for the event. In a very short time, a boring Sunday was transformed into a spectacular day.
In addition to bubbles, the organizers, Élie Ernest and Minh Vo of Vin12, offer rose, pinot grigio and other surprises. They always have several bubbles: prosecco, cava, or sparkling wine. Held in a hip restaurant, Lot 7, on Valencia Street, it couldn’t be more fun.
Bubble Sundays are a fun place to gather with friends or to meet new ones, while discovering a new sparkling favorite. Food is available and the tunes make one want to dance.
Soon Bubble Sundays will be coming to a Northern California city near you: San Jose, Walnut Creek, and San Jose. Vin12 is California’s largest monthly wine event geared toward a trendy, urban crowd. At each event, 15 to 20 small to medium wineries pour samples of their wine, while guests sip and enjoy tunes in a hip environment.
Details: Visit Vin12 for more information about upcoming events. Bubble Sundays are held from 2-6 p.m. on Sundays at Lot 7 at 974 Valencia Street in San Francisco. For a mere $10, you get to sample 4 to 6 wines, chill with friends and celebrate Sunday.
